Our
Goals
Our goal is to establish and maintain a not for profit tournament
series format that is built around fun, fellowship and camaraderie with just enough
competition to keep things interesting. Our civic intention is to give back to
the community through charitable contribution to those who are in need.
Enjoy
We
are in this because we enjoy fishing, meeting new people and building friendships
with other anglers that have a passion for fishing. We also want to be able to
give to charities as we think helping others and giving back to others is so important.
Most tournaments focus on competition and
competition
only, we have found that many recreational anglers feel that their skill levels
are not on par with the anglers that participate in most tournament schedules
or are not interested in the rigors that most competitions require. We want to
provide and be apart of something refreshingly different. The Cullm or Keepm
Series will focus more on the fun and fellowship that the outdoors can provide.
Our angler surveys and trial tournament has proven that this series will draw
those who may not want to spend the large amounts required for most tournament
entry and desire a more friendly, family oriented competition on a less intense
level. We feel this format also provides a great way for family and friends participating
to introduce new anglers to the great sport of tournament fishing.
Play
Our
format is all about fun and giving each angler/team a chance to win regardless
of skill level. The Cullm or Keepm Series format requires a little
bit of strategy as we will award cash to the heaviest stringer, lightest stringer,
big bass and small bass of the tournament. Each angler/team is allowed to catch
and keep up to five fish in the livewell at anytime. However, you can only bring
three fish to the weigh-in. All eligible limits will be weighed and the heaviest
stringer as well as the lightest stringer will win equal portions of the purse.
(You must have at least two fish to qualify for the lightest stringer; this keeps
lightest stringer and small bass from automatically going to the same angler/team.)
Entrants will also be able to weigh one fish for the big bass award and one fish
for the small bass award respectively. Competitors will have to decide what their
strategy will be during the competition i.e.; do you go big or little, try for
big bass or small, maybe you want to swing for the fence and go for big stringer,
big bass and small bass. The rules make all of this possible and thats what
makes this tournament so different from others. We believe this format, coupled
with the fun and fellowship it offers will bring more people out to enjoy the
sport of fishing through our tournament series and bring them back again and again.
